Books, books and more books… always more to read than shelves to contain them, am I right?!
Boxes/baskets on the floor can be such a good way around this. Somehow, then, the books that are still scattered on the floor beside them (because, let’s face it: kids read!) look a little more “strewn” than trip hazards!
This applies to anything.
If it’s constantly getting scattered on the floor, and is genuinely in-use a lot of the time: try commandeering a box or basket of some sort to give it a place to go for now.
Not forever, but for now.
Arrange it so it looks appealing if you can, then you’ll feel better about it, too!
This particular basket is one I bought many, many years ago and it goes in and out of storage frequently, depending on what is capturing my kids’ interest. (I know I’ll only cope with it on the floor right here for awhile before I decide it needs to be tucked somewhere a little less trip-over-able!)
Do you have a basket or box that has worked particularly well for you? I’d love to hear about it.
