But here’s the thing. How do you measure “enough”?
How can we be sure it isn’t just an elusive concept in the first place?
I’ve heard it said: “not enough… for who?” And in the context of homeschooling, we know exactly who. Or at least we think we do: our kids. Our partners. Our families. The ones who critique and analyse. And sometimes even the supportive and well-meaning ones. And ourselves.
There’s a pressure that builds inside us as we allow the weight of our children’s futures to rest on our shoulders. It’s no small thing, is it?
I’d like to suggest that you’re already doing FAR more than you give yourself credit for. And what you have to give, simply by being YOU, is far more than you even realise.
Over the coming blogposts I’m going to share four of the personal measuring sticks that have helped me learn what “enough” looks like in my homeschooling. My measuring sticks may be a little different to what you might expect. And yours may be different again (please do tell us!) but I hope, most of all, that you come away encouraged.
Firstly, that you’re not the only one asking the question. (Truly, you’re not alone!)
And secondly, that you ARE equipped to be the parent your child needs. In homeschooling, and in all of life. You were chosen to be their parent for a reason. What you’re doing here, matters.
