A couple of years ago, I ran five consecutive ‘Coffee with Kristy‘ sessions through my Facebook page, during Home Education Awareness week. You loved them, and many of you asked if I’d create some accompanying material. Well… I’ve done even more than that! I’ve turned them into a course. This course!
How? I’m glad you asked. The framework of “Homeschooling : what you really need to know” is built around those exact original sessions. With them comes a whole range of accompanying material to make it easier to absorb & to help you apply it to your own homeschooling. You’ll also hear from my ‘current’ self with updates, added information and honest anecdotes that provide a unique depth to the course as a whole, and set you up for success.
I’ll be straight up with you from the start and tell you that it’s not perfect. Because let’s face it, I’m not perfect! But everything here has been handpicked, put together, collated and formatted from my heart to yours, to inspire and reassure you in this journey you’re on.

What’s the point of this course?
I’m so glad you asked. I’ve supported countless families in their homeschool journeys, and it’s always my heart to help you to create a homeschool haven that is as unique as you are.
But there’s only one of me, and my time is finite – especially since I’m here in the trenches with you, still homeschooling my own kids. So I’ve been thinking smarter about how to make my support more readily available to you.
Through this course, I’ve found a way to equip you that will feel like 1-1 coaching, but without the 1-1 coaching price tag. I’ve set a price that would cover just over an hour of time with me, and you’ll get so much more in return.
What exactly does this course include?
That’s the best part. Not only do you get five video sessions that you can go through at your own pace (with a coffee in hand if that’s how you roll) you’ll also get full transcripts so that you can read the whole thing like a book, if you prefer. Or both! Plus reflection questions, extra links & resources, and a one-page “espresso notes” summary of each session, kinda like a quick reference guide. So in a nutshell, the course includes:

Why this course?
There are many, many amazing homeschool courses and resources out there. I’m not going to go ahead and tell you that you should choose mine because it’s the best. I work and connect with many incredible homeschoolers who are passionate about what they do, and I think what they each offer is amazing. This course is unique, because it’s mine. Just like theirs are unique, because they’re theirs.
What do I offer you?
The best way to answer that, is to tell you a bit about me. So, here goes! I’m a second generation homeschooler and trained teacher. I’ve never stopped learning, and I love to think outside the box. I’ve co-ordinated and taught various homeschool classes and groups over the years. I consult with parents to help direct and support them in their homeschool journeys. And I believe our homes should be our havens.
I’m in my 12th year of homeschooling my three children. We’ve faced our share of challenges in that time. Including a house fire, major building repair work, dealing with chronic pain and illness… and we’re still here! I’m thrilled to be able to share some of the discoveries I’ve made along the way, with YOU, over coffee.
I believe that home education by definition requires immense amounts of grace: for ourselves, for each other, and for our families.
